What is "Podcasting?"

In addition to "Broadcasting" people are creating a MP3 (audio) file of their radio programs and making it available for others to download for free from the Internet. This allows the person downloading the file to listen to the show at their convenience. For example, if Rocky Mountain Calvary was podcasting, instead of having to be tuned into the radio at 11:00 AM to listen to "Live and Rocky Mountain Calvary" on KGFT (100.7 FM), you could have your computer automatically download the program and then you could listen to the broadcast at your convenience.

The term "pod" in "podcasting," comes from the fact that the iPOD is the mobile MP3 player that a large number of people use to listen to MP3 files. So "podcasting" is subscribing to audio programs that you can listen to WHEN and WHERE you want to via a downloaded MP3 file.

Why should I subscribe?

Subscribing to Rocky Mountain Calvary's weekly teachings allows you to listen a second time to a service you've attended, or if you happen to miss a service, your computer will automatically download it, thus allowing you to stay abreast of all recent teachings. Downloading the podcasts will also allow you to create a library of teachings for your personal Bible study and quiet time.

Our hope is that you will grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

Getting Started - How to Subscribe to Rocky Mountain Calvary's Weekly Teachings

With our simple to follow step-by-step process below you should be able to quickly get subscribed to Rocky Mountain Calvary's Podcasts.

Step 1: Get a MP3 Player (Your computer will work)
The computer you are viewing this web page with can be used to listen to our MP3 (audio) files. You should already have software installed capable of playing MP3 files. Otherwise, you can install iTunes for Mac or PC or any other MP3 player software. If you have a mobile MP3 player, such as an iPOD, then you can even take the MP3 podcast files with you!

Step 2: Install FREE Podcast Software
It is easy to automatically receive our Weekly Teaching Podcasts. Simply install a free Podcasting program (e.g., iTunes). This programs will automatically check for new available teachings from RMC and download them for you.

Step 3: Subscribe to RMC's Podcast
1. Once iTunes is installed, subscribe to our Podcast by clicking here and click on the Subscribe button.

Follow the steps below to subscribe:
1. In iTunes, click on Music Store in the Source window (the window in the upper-left corner of iTunes).
2. In the Music Store window, click Podcasts in the Inside the Music Store list.
3. Type "Rocky Mountain Calvary" in the podcast search field.
4. Click on the Subscribe button to receive the podcast.

That's it. You should now be setup to automatically receive our teachings after they are posted.
